CLIENT Macpresse Europa
DATE 2015 – present
MACPRESSE, a leading company of the baling industry for which fairs and exhibitions are a fundamental part of sales, wanted to stand out from the other exhibitors and increase the contacts. We designed and developed for them an interactive exhibition area, where visitors can explore through an interactive process the baling machine present at the fair, other than the values and features of the MACPRESSE company. The interactive exhibition area will be exposed in the fairs of the next 3 years.
We designed the exhibition area of MACPRESSE developing interactive touch-points on its physical baling machine, an interactive infographic wall, cubic totems to interact with informative applications, etc.
Design of the whole exhibition area, including prototyping, production and assembly at exhibition sites. UX/IxD/UI/visual design and development of mobile & tablet apps. Design of brochures and other printed material.
The exhibition will be used in MACPRESSE’s fairs in the next three years around Europe. The area has a modular design so that it can be adapted to different areas maintaining its values of attraction and engagement.
MACPRESSE made a big shift from conventional exhibition areas to an interactive one, designed to attract customers in an emotional and engaging way, creating a great bridge with the sales assistants on site.
How we shaped the ecosystem of interactive installations of MACPRESSE in a unique exhibition experience.
Some examples of our process and the deliverables for the project.
Some early examples of animations for the interactive wall. On the pursuit of a more sensorial rich experience we decided to switch from usual videos on displays to physical animations activated by capacitive sensors.
We designed and developed 5 apps to interact with the physical baling machine and 2 apps to explore MACPRESSE and its products through infographics and videos
The different tablets placed in the installations in the exhibition area have been designed with two main purposes: inform on MACPRESSE’s products and work as trigger points to interact with the physical baling machine, while exploring its values.
This is why in our process we work with working prototypes, so that everyone who is involved in the process can give their feedbacks and make the necessary adjustments before a final version is produced.
Ecomondo has been the first stop of the new MACPRESSE interactive exhibition area. Here’s a sneak peek from the assembly process.
