What is Aurelio?
Aurelio is a co-design consulting service developed through the fruitful collaboration between THINGS and BVA DOXA.
It offers a structured approach to guide clients in identifying critical issues within their internal processes and opportunities in their business offerings. In order to overcome these challenges, the consultancy aims at adopting and integrating AI solutions, either pre-existing or tailored-made, with an appropriate level of personalization.
With Aurelio, we’re bridging the gap between SMEs and the endless opportunities of AI to drive growth, innovation, and long-term success.

How Aurelio Works? A modular approach
Aurelio is implemented using three adaptable Sets, based on the company’s level of AI literacy and specific needs.
The solution offers three distinct yet integrable journeys:

Provides a comprehensive overview of the company, assessing its current needs, resources, and competencies, and then delving into the tangible potential of Artificial Intelligence.

Focuses on selecting and analyzing business processes, reconstructing their flows and dynamics to identify opportunities where Artificial Intelligence can be implemented to enhance efficiency and outcomes.

Evaluates the feasibility of AI-based solutions and consolidates them, creating a clear roadmap for their implementation.
Why Aurelio?
Aurelio is a tangible response to THINGS’ strategy of streamlining innovation for businesses, through personalized methodologies and the active involvement of all key stakeholders. Aurelio defines the most suitable strategy for specific needs, ensuring effective and integrated solutions at every stage of business growth.
Aurelio serves as a design tool to guide the adoption of innovative AI solutions that seamlessly integrate with a company’s existing framework. The successful adoption of AI is an irreplaceable opportunity to enhance and complement existing assets within the client business, including knowledge, skills, tools, processes, products, and services, rather than simply replacing internal capacities. The ultimate goal is for the client to optimize costs in internal processes while maximizing competitiveness within their market segment.

The Story Behind Aurelio
Aurelio is the result of a research effort led jointly by THINGS and BVA DOXA of the current technological trends, internal business requirements and the need to keep up with the latest developments.
Some of the initial questions included:
What are the main requirements for automating repetitive tasks or processes?
What specific needs and skills relate to scaling processes and products?
This was followed by mapping, prioritizing, and clustering these needs, leveraging shared experiences in both national and international markets. The scope of Aurelio was defined by identifying potential outputs with significant, tangible impacts on the target audience, SMEs.

The THINGS Vision
The DNA of THINGS is built on continuous investment and experimentation with new approaches to make its design tools more effective, delivering tangible value to clients.
Our approach is rooted in the belief that excellent design comes not only from listening closely to the target audience but also from choosing strategic partners with complementary expertise. BVA DOXA shares the same “responsible” philosophy of innovation, enabling bold and distinctive advancements.
Aurelio is not a top-down initiative; it is the result of a thoughtful and collaborative co-design journey.
